The Mayweather Odds

One of the most popular and nerve wrecking fights of the year would have to be the Mayweather verses McGregor fight. The UFC fighter, Connor McGregor, a world-class boxer. Though out the UFC he has accomplished seven out of nine victories, either by knockout or technical knockout. Despite all of his victories, McGregor isn't a professional boxer, which is a big deal.

When stepping into a boxing cage, kicks are illegal. While Mayweather on the other hand, won't have any concern about accidently throwing a kick. Unfortunetly, McGregor will worry more about stance. His stance was set-up to throw kicks, now he'll have to adapt to move quick and even defend himself. Mayweather has a additional decade of experience against McGregor. Out of the entire league, Mayweather is the biggest threat. He can deliver a serious blow in those 4-ounce gloves. McGregor has never faced a boxer who can knock their opponent out with one punch.

He had also never entered the National Junior Championships in Ireland, while most boxers like Mayweather have. The majority of professionals boxers have failed during their younger years. Mayweather himself received a bronze metal in 1996. Macgregor is an incredible fighter but hasn't trained like Mayweather. Macgregor's interests were more in taekwondo and jiu-jitsu, while Mayweather was spending all that time boxing. Mayweather generally stays out of trouble. He usually stays civilized, perhaps Macgregor can get inside his head to get a fight. In conclusion, Mayweather's stats speaks for themselves, 49-0. I wouldn't say the McGregor is fraud, but is mixed with the martial arts world. In the end, there is no easy choice. All of the arguments against McGregor are all reasonable, but I do believe if he stayed in the boxing world, he would be as good as Mayweather in a few years.
